On Thursday night an excited audience gathered at The Barbican, York, for a special night of spectacular voices from The Kingdom Choir, with music of African, American and even English origin including Coldplay's Fix You, a medley tribute to the late Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin and Labi Siffre’s Something Inside So Strong.
Our own York Light Youth Choir joined The Kingdom Choir on stage for this once-in-a-life-time opportunity, led by conductor Ellie Melvin, 18, and keyboardist Sam Melvin, 16 for several numbers including Lean On Me.
